Hiking on Parnitha Mt.

We meet at 08:30am at the Larissis metro station from where we shall take the suburban train to the base of mount Parnitha (1413m.). We should arrive after 70min, after which we shall take the footpath to the water spring at Skipiza.

Here we shall take a short break. After Skipiza we shall take the path to the EDASA observation platform where we shall stop in order to enjoy the amazing panoramic view stretching from the gulf of Corinth to the west all the way to Evian gulf to the east. Continuing the round trip around the summit of Karavola we shall take the path through lush fir forests to Madeira Templo and Bilkinzia before arrive at a point where the path meets the stream of Lykoporia.

At this point we shall take a right turn and head for Mola, and from there follow the path to the Mesiano water spring. From here we can take the path back to the Bafi refuge where we can rest, drink or eat something before our return trip to the suburban train station from where we started.

The proposed route is easy, beautiful and shaded for the most part, and suitable for all seasons and all ages.
